Wayne Township is located in
Passaic County, NJ within an easy commuting distance to New York City.
Wayne has excellent public
transportation facilities, such as the Park 'n Ride at
the WIllowbrook Mall, the brand new Wayne Route 23 Transit Center with
1,000 parking spaces, and NJ Transit Bus Routes throughout the town. The
new Wayne Route 23 Transit Center has both NJ Transit Bus and Rail service.
There are two NJ Transit Boonton Line Train stations in Wayne and two
NJ Transit NYC Bus Routes that service the town.
One of the great aspects of Wayne, NJ is its
many hidden treasures; such as its parks and even its various sections /
communities. Many residents do not even realize the existence of some of
its communities as they are off the beaten path, such as Urban Club
Estates and Manitou Townhouse Community. Then there are the well known areas such as Packanack Lake where you can have a wonderful walk around the lake, enjoy a nice pizza at its community restaurant,
and if you are a member of
the Lake community, have a dip in the lake at one of its two private beach areas.
Other exclusive areas are Pine Lake, Vizcaya Estates, Horizon Heights
and many of its Townhouse Communities, such as Radcliffe Village, High
Point, Fair Ridge and Woods at Waterview. There is also a golf course,
tennis court, the Highland Mountain Trails for a great day of hiking,
and much more.
Wayne provides its citizens with excellent services, from its beautiful
town pool, brand new, technically advanced
Anthony Wayne Middle School,
recreational facilities (dozens
of parks, town pool, museums), free public library with free
wi-fi internet access, great shopping centers (home of the
Willowbrook Mall and local community shopping
centers),
William Paterson University, to its excellent
senior citizen programs. No wonder it was rated as the 32nd most livable
community in America.
