Obtain a Mortgage Pre-ApprovalIn today's market a mortgage pre-approval is more important than ever before. The pre-approval process is fairly easy and any mortgage broker or bank should be willing to provide you with one. There is an important thing to note here, a pre-qualification is not a pre-approval. A pre-qualification that you might obtain off of a website does not verify your inputted information. A pre-approval, on the other hand, indicates that your lender verified your financial information, employment, income, source of down payment and did a credit check on you. With this verified documentation, the pre-approval letter gives the seller, yourself and your real estate agent a better assurance that you will be able to obtain the loan in order to complete the real estate transaction. This process lets you know what you can truly afford as other factors were looked at, such as real estate taxes, insurance coverage, other loans you might have to pay back, and so on. This also assures your real estate agent that you are a serious buyer, and that you are looking at properties that you can afford. It is for this reason that you should obtain the mortgage pre-approval before looking for your next home. It should be noted that the pre-approval is not a binding statement from the lender, in that your situation can change. You might lose your job, take on other obligations or run up sudden credit card debt, making your situation different from when the pre-approval was initially written. At the time of obtaining the loan, the mortgage person will re-evaluate your financial information. If everything is the same or better, you should have no trouble obtaining the indicated loan. If you are in the need of a mortgage broker, you might want to consider a mortgage broker from following page: Mortgage Brokers |
